Vantage Property will assist the seller of a home by ensuring that all funds are properly escrowed at the time of closing and transferred to the licensed 1031 tax exchange intermediary. The Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act, commonly known as “FIRPTA”, was enacted in 1980 to ensure that foreign national individuals and corporations would withhold taxes from the sale of real property in the US. Vantage Property will assist our sellers or buyers in obtaining the signature on any form or document presented to us. If our client is eligible for FIRPTA, Vantage Property will follow the instructions of the principals in withholding and remitting the payment to the IRS on their behalf.
Escrow is essentially what happens when money is deposited by one person with a neutral third party so that it can be delivered to another party upon completion of an event. In the home buying process, escrow opens when the buyer and seller sign a purchase agreement and the buyer puts down a deposit. Vantage Property Title provides Escrow Services, which protects all parties involved by making sure that no funds or properties change hands until all conditions in the purchase and sale agreement have been met.
